This very well equipped "Bavaria 40 Ocean", has had only one owner from new and has been used solely for private cruising. The sale will be private, direct from the owner.
First launched in May 2002 then, after a trial period of twelve months on the Lake of Constance, it was transported to the Mediterranean where it has been enjoyed ever since. The motor is BSO certified.
With the "Ocean" centre cockpit series, Bavaria fulfilled the wish of their clients for an easy to handle, comfortable and well built cruising yacht. Due to more intricate construction methods, the Ocean series was more expensive to produce than the Cruiser series. This vessel has been maintained to the highest standards and is in remarkably good condition.
The yacht is presently based in Kusadasi in Turkey and will continue to be used by the present owner until sold.
Kusadasi has a very well protected harbour and is approximately 45 minutes by car from Izmir international airport.
The main advantages of this yacht are, in addition to it's good sailing qualities, as follows:
A well protected centre cockpit, stable windscreen with opening centre window, extremely comfortable and roomy owner's cabin aft, large bathroom/toilet with seperate shower recess, a large galley, teak planking on decks and cabin tops, 380 l freshwater tanks and 350 l diesel tanks.
The most important items of extra equipment are: A quiet 6 kW, 230 Volt diesel generator, bow thruster, wind generator, reverse osmosis system, mast steps to the mast head, deck wash pump, radar/chartplotter in cockpit and at chart table, diesel warm air heating, special davits for the inflatable dinghy, sprayhood and bimini with extension pieces plus a full proctective cover for winter storage.
